Nonproliferative Diabetic Retinopathy

Nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy occurs when diabetes damages the small blood vessels in the retina. The damaged vessels leak blood and fluid and cause the retina to swell.

  • Difficulty reading
  • Floaters
  • Double vision
